Dichloromethane Market Declined 13.48% in Aug 2017
The Chinese dichloromethane market declined rapidly and greatly in August 2017. Up to August 31, the prices of dichloromethane in Shandong slumped to RMB 1,990/mt, hitting the lowest price this year.

The overall operating rate was stable from last month and the supply was ample. However, the demand for dichloromethane was soft. Most dichloromethane producers had high inventories. Pressured by the environmental protection supervision, the downstream units were shut. Moreover, the export was influenced in Shandong on the increasing sales cost and pressure.
According to ECHEMI, the monthly average price of dichloromethane was RMB 2,342/mt in Shandong, down 13.48% from last month.
