Function and Efficacy
1. Pharmacological action: This product usually causes diarrhea within 4 hours and quickly cleans the intestines. The osmotic activity and electrolyte concentration of polyethylene glycol 4000 do not affect the absorption or excretion of ions or water. Large-scale application has no significant change in fluid or electrolyte balance. 2. Toxicological action: The maximum tolerated oral dose of this product in mice is 83.25g/kg, and no toxic reactions were observed.

Appearance
This product is white powdery rice with a pineapple aroma and a slightly sweet taste.
Indication
Preoperative bowel cleaning preparation; bowel cleaning preparation before colonoscopy, barium enema and other examinations.
Usage and Dosage
1. Treatment before colorectal surgery: Do not eat after lunch the day before surgery (you can drink water), and start taking the medicine 3 hours after lunch. 2. Treatment before colorectal endoscopy: (1) Dosing on the day of examination: Do not eat breakfast on the day of examination (you can drink water), and take the medicine about 4 hours before the scheduled examination. (2) Dosing the day before the examination: Do not eat after dinner the day before (you can drink water), and take the medicine 1 hour after dinner. Breakfast and lunch the day before should be foods with little residue, and dinner should be liquid food without solid foods. Dosage: Adults take about 2-4 liters at a time, orally at a rate of about 1 liter per hour, and stop taking the medicine when the discharged fluid becomes a transparent liquid; the total dosage should not exceed 4 liters. Adverse Reactions
Common symptoms include nausea and fullness; rare symptoms include abdominal pain, vomiting, anal discomfort and other transient digestive tract reactions. In some cases, urticaria, runny nose, dermatitis and other symptoms related to allergic reactions may occur. Some literature reports have reported that patients over 60 years old may occasionally develop more serious complications, such as laceration and bleeding of the cardia, esophageal perforation, cardiac arrest, dyspnea caused by pulmonary edema, vomiting and butterfly-like infiltration on chest X-ray caused by aspiration.
Precautions
Patients with intestinal obstruction, intestinal perforation, gastric retention, gastrointestinal bleeding, toxic enteritis, toxic megacolon or intestinal volvulus.
