100 Plots Up for Grabs Pharma Manufacturing Push Accelerates in Uttar Pradesh
In a bold step to boost pharmaceutical manufacturing, the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has rolled out 100 industrial plots in Lalitpur, inviting pharma companies to set up operations in the Bundelkhand region. This strategic move is part of the state’s broader mission to enhance its footprint in the life sciences sector.
The plots, ranging from 2,100 to 10,500 square meters, are located in the Plastic City Industrial Area of Lalitpur, near the Uttar Pradesh-Madhya Pradesh border. The initiative aligns with India’s goal of becoming a global pharma hub and is designed to attract investments, create jobs, and reduce dependency on imports of bulk drugs.
Companies setting up facilities here can benefit from government incentives, infrastructure support, and proximity to emerging logistics corridors. UPSIDA emphasized that the location’s connectivity and affordable land pricing make it a compelling choice for firms seeking expansion or new project development.
With India’s pharmaceutical exports exceeding $25 billion, regional manufacturing hubs like Lalitpur could play a key role in meeting future demands and strengthening supply chains. Now is a crucial window for pharma companies to seize this opportunity before allocations close.
