Syensqo Opens New Microbiology Laboratory in France

Specialty chemicals manufacturer Syensqo has increased its biodegradability and ecotoxicology testing capabilities by opening a new microbiology laboratory in Lyon, France.

The new facility is the company’s largest microbiology laboratory worldwide and a reference center in this field.

The newly operational 550 square meter laboratory is equipped with advanced capabilities and machine learning technologies and will support the development of biodegradable design solutions, especially for the beauty care, home care, agrochemicals, adhesives and materials markets. The new laboratory will significantly increase biodegradation testing capabilities, with the number of test samples increasing tenfold compared to 2021.
