This week, the Chinese acetic ether market inched up. Up to May 18, the closing prices in East China were in the range of RMB 4,650-4,750/mt. The average price this week is RMB 4,672/mt, which was up 1.13% from last week. The acetic ether market had been in a downtrend since the beginning of 2017. Some producers started to suffer loss and they had to raise prices. Moreover, some acetic ether producers saw better export and they had no inventory pressure.
This week, the Chinese n-butyl acetate market moved up. Up to May 18, the closing prices in East China were in the range of RMB 5,630-5,800/mt. The average price was RMB 5,695/mt, which was up 2.26% from last week and jumped 21.82% from the same period of last year. During this week, though the NBA market went down, the glacial acetic acid remained firm. It is predicted that the n-butyl acetate market will be largely stable next week.
