Announcement: Zhongke Meisi (Yantai) to Construct 5,000-ton Annual Nuclear Coatings Production Project
On August 22nd, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the 5,000-ton annual production project for nuclear coatings by Zhongke Meisi (Yantai) was announced. This project, with an investment of 200 million RMB, will be constructed in the North Gou Town Chemical Industry Park, Penglai District, Yantai City. It is a new project covering an area of 5,200 square meters, utilizing existing workshops and warehouses while also constructing a new warehouse. The project will establish three production lines for coatings, with a capacity to produce 5,000 tons of nuclear coatings annually.
Against the backdrop of the United States placing Chinese companies on its Entity List, and in response to the country's call, efforts are being made to achieve more breakthroughs in the "bottleneck" technology of nuclear power coatings and firmly grasp the initiative in technology and development. This project introduces the world's only French coating technology certified by EDF (Electricité de France), integrating leading nuclear power coating technology from French Meisi Coatings, technical specifications for nuclear power coatings from China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), and strong research and development capabilities from the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It aims to construct a 5,000-ton annual production line for nuclear coatings.
It is understood that this project is one of the sub-projects of Zhongke Chemical New Materials Transformation Demonstration Base in Yantai. The transformation demonstration base, jointly invested by the Penglai District People's Government, Yantai Advanced Manufacturing and Green Materials Shandong Provincial Laboratory, and Yantai Zhongke Advanced Materials and Green Chemical Industry Technology Research Institute, is being constructed. The contemporaneous project being developed alongside it is the Molecular Engineering and Functional Coatings project by Zhongke Runtu (Yantai) New Materials Technology Co., Ltd.
Zhongke Meisi (Yantai) Co., Ltd. is a Sino-French high-tech cooperative enterprise located in the Penglai Chemical Industry Park, Yantai. The company possesses the core technology of Meisi Coatings' full range of nuclear coatings, with its products covering all application areas of nuclear power plants. The company's technical research and development team is composed of the technical team from Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Meisi Coatings technical team from France. Zhongke Meisi Nuclear Coatings is dedicated to nuclear application coatings and nuclear coating solutions.
